S&C CEO Anders Sjoelin Joins NEMA Executive Committee
Sjoelin, a NEMA Board of Governors member since 2020, will continue to lead efforts to support and grow U.S. electrical manufacturing at a critical time for the industry
CHICAGO, November 20, 2024 – S&C Electric Company, a leading innovator of resilient grid technology, announced today that Anders Sjoelin, the company’s president and CEO, has been appointed to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Executive Committee. This appointment is in addition to Sjoelin’s role on NEMA’s Board of Governors.
The announcement was made at NEMA’s annual meeting earlier this month. Sjoelin will work with the rest of NEMA’s board to lead the organization in its mission to advance the goals of America’s electroindustry and work toward growing the economy, building a more resilient grid, and supporting domestic electrical manufacturing.
"I am honored to join NEMA's executive committee at this pivotal time for the electrical manufacturing industry," said Sjoelin. "As our sector continues to drive innovation in electrification, grid modernization, and sustainable technologies, I look forward to working alongside fellow industry leaders to advance NEMA's mission of developing standards and advocating for reliable, resilient, and efficient electrical infrastructure that powers our future."
Sjoelin has over 30 years of experience in the global power industry and a deep understanding of its current and future challenges. Before joining S&C, he held various global and North American leadership roles at Hitachi Energy and ABB. As president and CEO of S&C, Anders leads the employee-owned company in its work to transform the grid with innovations that bring reliability and resilience to electric power delivery.
“NEMA’s Executive Committee plays a critical role in advancing the goals of America’s electrical manufacturing industry and building the resilient electrical infrastructure of the future. I am proud to welcome Anders to NEMA’s Executive Committee. I know his experience and expertise will help guide NEMA and our members through the transformative time ahead,” said NEMA President and CEO Debra Phillips.
