Transform the Grid With S&C at Booth 3277 With New Solutions, Customer Highlights, and Booth Experiences at DISTRIBUTECH 2025
DISTRIBUTECH, DALLAS, March 20, 2025 – S&C Electric Company, a leading innovator of resilient grid technology, showcases its industry-leading distribution grid solutions at DISTRIBUTECH International 2025 in Dallas next week.
Visitors to booth 3277 will experience S&C’s commitment to strengthening resilience and reliability by bringing more intelligence–and the ability to act on that intelligence–to power distribution. S&C recently announced two joint offerings that support a smarter, more adaptive grid:
- For Overhead: S&C’s TripSaver® II Cutout-Mounted Recloser with Gridware®’s Gridscope™ offers utilities a low-cost, flexible, and scalable grid-visibility solution that enhances situational awareness, improves response times, and minimizes disruptions caused by faults and extreme weather conditions.
- For Underground: S&C’s EdgeRestore® Underground Distribution Restoration System with Ubicquia’s UbiGrid® Distribution Transformer Monitor Plus (DTM+) monitoring package allows utilities to add communications and leverage analytics as they deploy S&C’s EdgeRestore system.
Other grid-transformation innovations on display at the S&C booth:
- EdgeRestore® Underground Distribution Restoration System
- VacuFuse® II Self-Resetting Interrupter
- TripSaver® II Cutout-Mounted Recloser
- IntelliRupter® PulseCloser® Fault Interrupter
- PME Pad-Mounted Gear
In addition to the in-booth displays, S&C is pleased to highlight that several of its customers will join panel discussions to talk about their grid-modernization journeys and what it takes to stay on the road to resilience:
- Leaders from Georgia Power and Louisville Gas & Electric–Kentucky Utilities will share their strategies for improving reliability and resilience at the grid edge in the panel session “Grid-Edge Resilience: Two Utilities Share Their Strategies for Modernizing the Most Vulnerable Area of the Grid.” Each will share best practices for deploying fault-testing technologies on overhead lines.
- In the session “Don’t Mess with Texas: How Two Texas Utilities Are Improving Grid Resilience,” Oncor and CenterPoint Energy will talk about how they invested in the distribution grid to improve resilience, advance their system operations, and optimize customer experience in the Lone Star State.
Finally, S&C will host its annual Powered by Diversity networking event, which offers a casual environment for conversations on prioritizing, enabling, and advancing energy equity. Other event highlights include the presentation of the S&C Powered by Diversity Award and the opportunity to connect with executives, leaders, and allies across the energy industry.
